Philosophy about being a Realtor
One of the most important aspects
of being a realtor is knowing your client and making sure they
know who you are as a person and as a professional. Let me start
by answering your first question, "How did you become a real
estate professional and how did you become a real estate professional
here?"
My life has always been intertwined
with Mexico.
I have always loved Mexico, the
Mexican culture and the Mexican people. My first experience visiting
Mexico was at age 13 when I visited friends in Cuernavaca, South
of Mexico City. I returned at age 17 to go to school at what was
then Mexico City College.
I have been a licensed Realtor
in Houston, Texas since 1980. I formed Dawson Real Estate, Inc.
in March 1992. My interest in people and houses combined to make
real estate an exciting career for me. Prior to real estate I
had an interior design and remodeling company, which propelled
me into the real estate business because of my expanding knowledge
of home construction and the importance of the home environment.
In February 2006, I decided I needed
a vacation. Since I was in front of my computer it was easy to
search the internet for a good vacation spot. I found so many
wonderful resources about Ajijic, Mexico. I had never been there
and figured I should check it out.
I invited a neighbor to go with
me for a "Look See" and we did. We liked it so much
that she moved immediately after returning to Houston. Initially,
I was going back and forth. But, I fell in love with Ajijic and
decided to move here full-time..
I will not just be your full-time
realtor, I will also be your full-time neighbor, too.
I believe that the three most important
qualities of a good Realtor are Honesty, Integrity
and Knowledge. Many people say that knowledge is power,
but I say that knowledge without honesty and integrity is worthless.
I want to serve this community
in a manner that I will be remembered for these qualities.
